As a first-generation college graduate, UCCS' Katie Sullivan, Ph.D., understands the unique stresses of being both a college student and a first-generation student. In the classroom, Katie’s goal extends beyond fostering successful students; she aims to develop successful professionals and, more importantly, well-rounded individuals.

Born to professional athletes, Chris Lalone has always embodied relentlessness. As a student at UCCS and a dedicated kickboxer, Chris channels his fighting spirit both in the gym and the classroom, achieving success in both arenas. Driven by his passions, he combines his love for academics and athletics, leading him to pursue a major in exercise science at UCCS.

Angelica Orozco was able to find the perfect opportunity for her success right in her home state at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Like many of her peers at UCCS, Angelica tapped into her passions and turned it into the career of her dreams, proving to us that with the right community and collaborators, anything is possible.
