Queens of Noise

2025 comedy-drama series proof of concept where we served as writers, directors, and producers.

Two broke bandmates. One duffel bag of cash.
Zero good decisions.

After Chloe and Lizzy stumble upon a duffel bag of dirty cash, they use it to go all-in on their long-delayed dream tour, but not before the bag’s unhinged owner comes calling, ready to do just about anything to get his money back.

It's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel meets Better Call Saul and Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, but for fans of Poker Face and The Big Lebowski.

What would you do with a duffel bag of dirty cash and a dream you’ve been putting off for years?

Queens of Noise has been in the works for five years. By which we (Camille and Jeff) mean: we've been thinking and talking and making Pinterest boards about Chloe, Lizzy, and this show for as long as we've been together. Over the years, we've made two test shoots, but we still felt we were only scratching the surface of the world and these two complex yet hilarious women.

In 2024, we wrote a pilot script and challenged ourselves to distill that 50-page comedy-drama into a 15-minute proof of concept short. In doing so, something much more personal emerged. The story of Queens of Noise, this music duo who longed to be doing more with their lives, became a reflection of our own creative selves and longstanding creative paralysis—the years we spent waiting for the “right” moment to do something with our talents—but it also became a challenge: Were we willing to stop talking about doing something big, and instead just do it?

So, we did it. Months of writing, casting, and pre-production led us to that fateful weekend in August 2025 where we, along with a dedicated crew and a cast of incredible actors, made Queens of Noise. Our debut short film, our Colorado-proud proof of concept for what we hope to turn into a Colorado-proud comedy-drama series.

At its core, Queens of Noise is about the tension between fear and action, and what it takes to choose the latter. It also puts women front and center—women who are loud, funny, flawed, and fiercely loyal. Loyal to their dreams and to each other. We realized along the way that the story and the characters were metaphors for our own longing, fear and drive to make this thing. Chloe and Lizzy are us. They are two musicians who run the band, call the shots, and double down on their shared dream and each other, even when everything goes sideways. Sure, we never found a duffel bag of dirty cash, but we made the commitment to invest in our dream of bringing this story to life, and we've never looked back!

Co-Writers. Co-Directors. Co-Creators.

We're a dynamic duo, just like Chloe and Lizzy.

Camille Liptak 4_edited.jpg

Co-Writer / Director / Art Director / Music

Camille Liptak

Born and raised in Colorado, Camille is a writer and actor who specializes in crafting stories about fearless, funny women rewriting their lives. She’s the author of Jupiter Returns, a cosmic comedy and self-discovery novel, and has written for both print and digital publications, including the Colorado Springs Independent and Denver’s 303 Magazine.

As a sometimes-comedian and astrology personality, Camille brings her humor to life on the page, stage, and in snappy social reels that reach millions. A lifelong musician and multi-instrumentalist, she channeled her love of music into Queens of Noise, a project that doubles as a love letter to the loud, messy pursuit of your dreams. And she cannot be more excited to do this alongside her (DP) parter Jeff.

Jeff Dempsey

Jeff is a Colorado-based award-winning filmmaker and lifelong visual storyteller. Originally from Arkansas, he began his film career in the world of advertising. With over two decades of experience on film sets, leading editorial teams, and producing narrative-driven content for well-known brands, as well as a decade teaching advanced filmmaking at the University of Colorado, Jeff brings both technical precision and a sharp aesthetic eye to every project he touches.

A longtime guitarist, Jeff approaches film the same way he approaches music: with timing, texture, and a deep respect for harmony. Queens of Noise marks his first co-writing and co-directing collaboration with Camille—proof that good things happen when the right dreamers (and bandmates) team up.
